About Pualani Estates
Pualani Estates is a beautiful community in North Kona, which sits between Highway 11 and Hualalai Rd. This enclave of about 150 homesites got its start back in 2006 and offers some beautiful island homes, a large community park, and lots from 5000 ft.² to 7500 ft.². Many homes feature floor plans from 1100 ft.² to over 3000 ft.² from three bedrooms to five bedrooms with all types of layouts and designs.
These homes are located on the Mauka (mountainside) of Queen Kaahumanu Hwy (11). Many homes in Pualani Estates offer beautiful ocean views and was a short drive to downtown Kailua Kona, you’re never more than a few minutes from great shopping, dining, and entertainment. Follow Puapuaanui St up the hill and the community branches off into other non-subdivision homes to connect with Hualalai Rd.
At the base of the hill along Hawaii Belt Road (11) is Pualani Park. There are several sports fields, playgrounds, green spaces, restrooms parking facilities, and picnic tables. It’s a great place to take your lunch, let the kids burn off some energy, or simply enjoy a great game of baseball.
Pualani Estates Homes
You’ll find a variety of styles and designs from single level homes to two-story properties, custom designs, and homes built from 2005 up till 2015. Most homes have beautiful outdoor patios, tile floors, and a lot have reverse osmosis water filtration systems.
Residents are required to pay annual homeowner association fees of about $300, which covers common area maintenance and management. The average home prices between $650,000 and $850,000. You’ll find homes from 1100 ft.² to about 2800 ft.² on average. About half the homes in this community feature a one or two car garage while the others may offer a carport.
Pualani Estates School
Residents with school-age children are assigned to the Holualoa elementary school, the Konawaena middle school, and the Konawaena high school. The middle school and high school are about 8 miles away and the elementary school is less than 1.5 miles. There is a bus service from this community.
Downtown Kona is just seven minutes away or about 2 1/2 miles accessible via the Kuakini Hwy or Hualalai Rd. Honi’s Beach is just 5 minutes away.
